Pull the pin and throw it. These old-fashioned pineapples have been updated to include a thermal-electric impact sensor. They go boom if they hit something hurtable and will lay on the ground and explode in a few seconds if they don't. The longer you hold it, the farther it goes, but be sure to actually throw it at some point.
