An offshoot of early railgun development, this weapon fires two quantum accelerated magnesium slugs that explode on impact and inflict massive damage on whatever they hit. These weapons saw heavy use during the campaign to shut down the Strogg moon base and destroy the Strogg fleet that was massing for a counter-attack. Think of it as a double-barreled rocket launcher and you'll get the idea. Just be careful when using it in close quarters.
